Welcome to the new site, readers.

Thanks for bearing with me while I got it together. It's just about together - but you can't keep polishing and polishing because you'd never get anything done. Just got to run with it really. "You hear me comic? HOLD TOGETHER!"

Reader Comments at last

The most significant visible change is your ability to make comments on the comic pages. This should always have been possible - this is 2010 after all but I originally just wanted to get the comic up - in its entirety as quickly and easily as possible. Scroll down beneath the comic page and you'll see it there. I love to read your comments and reply to them, so please take the time to type a few words. It is a non-profit site after all and it's my reward for the countless days of work!

This Blog

Up to now, the SW9 Blog was over on a seperate WordPress blog site. It was the easiest way to achieve it with the stone age site that this used to be. Now it'll all be in here - at last!

Future Plans

This was originally just supposed to be a case of "I have this entire film adaptation, it's over 30 years old, on cheap paper, and FLAMMABLE! Maybe I should scan it?" Then I wondered, as did my wife, if I "should upload it to the web?" It'll be another way of archiving it - and - someone might even enjoy looking at it." Then friends like Padhraig Nolan said "You should upload it a chapter at a time - not all at once - RSS it - get a following!" Food for thought.

So I did that - with about 2/3 of the comic, starting in mid-2009. I've gone back to the start now with this new site build but eventually the comic will be all uploaded. So what then?

Well, to give it a life after the throne room award ceremony I'd like to have some extra features. I'm working on some ideas but one will certainly  be image galleries of work submitted by you readers. Childhood stuff - not necessarily just about Star Wars either. If you have any ideas of your own, I'd love to hear them.

vader and darth by me and my son johnny

Well, that's all for now. Enjoy the site and the comic and I leave you now with a drawing by my 4 year old son Johnny. I liked it so much that I just had to colour it in! It depicts two best pals from Star Wars. Give Boba a little wave back? And no... I didn't get him to draw my comic in case you're suspicious!

Thanks Candace!
Once the groundwork is done by a good illustrator who knows what he's doing, the colouring is a joy. As a mentor he's been an inspiration.
Thanks for dropping by sis'!

We'll have our own comic empire soon. Father and son, astride the publishing universe, laughing triumphantly at insects like Marvel and DC.
